Inovacril, within the scope of its social responsibility policy, is proud to have associated itself as a partner with the NGS Project (Next Generation Sobral), an innovative form of teaching, developed at Escola de Pero Negro.
This is a mathematics project based on computational thinking, which aims to boost the energy and digital transitions, bringing together robotics, energy, programming and entrepreneurship, in order to develop the student’s profile according to the skills needed to the 21st century.
This project is the responsibility and initiative of Rui Ferreira and José Pina, teachers at Escola Básica de Pero Negro, belonging to the Joaquim Inácio da Cruz Sobral School Group, from Sobral de Monte Agraço.
It is aimed at students in the first cycle of basic education, and is developed in a new and modern school, equipped with digital mechanisms to control energy profitability.
The NGS project foresees several activities throughout the academic year, including study visits, and throughout the second and third periods, it is expected that students will already be able to build some solar-powered robots, assemble and program drones for collection of images, cars powered by photovoltaic energy and houses lit by wind energy. As it is a project directed towards the future and with great strategic vision, Inovacril could not fail to be associated.
